| Information: | Debut single from a young British duo. Death Rays arrive with their drone heavy neo-psychedelia, 'The Shape Of The Night' repetitively hits the listener with layers of tremolo guitar, envelope filters and guitar feedback and vocals make may for dark lyricism regarding the ups and downs to modern life. B-side 'Shadows' is a more mellow affair offering the listener down-time from the intense a-side. It sounds similar to a lost Spiritualized track, with hazy drugged out lyrics and softly hushed vocal. The 45 has also been mastered by Sonic Boom. Limited to 300 copies only, housed in hand-numbered riso-graph sleeve including postcard and lyric sheet. |
