| Information: | Nein, eine derartige Höchstleistung hätte ich den NWOBHM-Recken DIAMOND HEAD auf ihre alten Tage nie und nimmer zugetraut. Ganz klar ein Kandidat für die Top 5 Metal-Platten des Jahres 2016. Der gebürtige Däne Rasmus Bom singt nicht nur seinen direkten Vorgänger Nick Tart förmlich in Grund und Boden, sondern kann sogar Sean Harris das Wasser reichen. Es war für die einstige NWOBHM-Legende wohl die langersehnte Frischzellenkur, denn parallel läuft Bandchef Brian Tatler ebenso zu absoluter Höchstform auf und schüttelt gleich dutzendweise Weltklasse-Riffs aus dem Ärmel. Das schlicht "Diamond Head" getaufte Album geht tatsächlich als das fehlende Bindeglied zwischen "Lightning To The Nations" und dem sträflich unterschätzten "Death & Progress" durch. Limitiertes clear Vinyl mit exklusiver Bonus-7" Single (auf schwarzem Vinyl) und Abdruck der Lyrics. (Matthias Mader) |
