| Information: | Schon jetzt ist das neue Werk zum Liebling der Kritiker geworden. So bezeichnet etwa der Rolling Stone die neue Musik als "lichtgeflutete, erhabene, geradezu kosmische Songs. Vielleicht die schönsten im Werk des sinistren Melancholikers". Spex bezeichnet das Album als "seine bislang vielleicht intimste Platte - aber auch ein Aufruf an die Erdbevölkerung". "Ghosteen" wurde von Nick Cave in seinen The Red Hand Files angekündigt, nachdem ein Fan sich nach neuer Musik erkundigt hatte. Das Album wurde 2018 und Anfang 2019 im Woodshed in Malibu, Nightbird in Los Angeles, Retreat in Brighton und Candybomber in Berlin aufgenommen. Es wurde von Nick Cave,Warren Ellis, Lance Powell und Andrew Dominik im Conway in Los Angeles gemixt. Das Cover wurde von Tom duBois gemalt. |
